Personal Care Assistant (PCA)

Wednesdays and Thursdays 12p-5p Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide high-quality, hands-on care to clients in a home or facility setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal care, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining client dignity, safety, and independence. Key Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting Provide mobility assistance, including transfers and ambulation support Monitor and report changes in client condition to supervisors or nursing staff Assist with light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a clean environment Provide companionship and emotional support to clients Follow individualized care plans and document services provided accurately Ensure compliance with all safety, infection control, and agency policies Required Qualifications Minimum 1-2+ years experience as a PCA Current CPR/First Aid certification Current Cultural Competency certification Current physical and TB screen (within the last 12 months) PCA Certification Ability to pass background check and drug screening Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (if applicable) Strong interpersonal and communication skills Skills & Competencies Compassionate and patient-centered approach Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Time management and reliability Physical ability to assist with lifting and transferring clients
