Job Description

Overview Join our compassionate team as a Personal Assistant Caregiver, where your dedication and caring nature will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities and personal care. This vital role offers an opportunity to provide personalized assistance, promote independence, and enhance quality of life for those in need. You will work closely with clients in various settings, including private homes, assisted living facilities, and group homes, ensuring they receive respectful, attentive care tailored to their unique needs. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor patients' health status by taking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition or behavior Support medication administration following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary restrictions and preferences, ensuring proper food safety standards are maintained Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning tasks including laundry, tidying living spaces, and sanitizing equipment Document patient observations, care provided, and any incidents accurately to ensure seamless communication within the care team Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation or distress Qualifications Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home settings, or group homes is highly preferred Certification or training in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA compliance or dementia care are advantageous Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory care needs Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing signs of health deterioration or behavioral changes Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using assistive devices like Hoyer lifts when necessary Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful, person-centered care that promotes independence and dignity This role is an excellent opportunity for dedicated caregivers eager to make a positive impact while developing their skills in a supportive environment.
