In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care to promote independence, safety, and well-being. Whether supporting residents in assisted living, memory care, or community settings, your positive attitude and proactive approach will foster a nurturing environment where everyone feels valued and empowered. This position offers an engaging opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while contributing to a supportive community focused on quality of life. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication administration in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Monitor vital signs like blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure resident health and promptly report any concerns to healthcare professionals Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care techniques and behavior management strategies to enhance comfort and safety Support residents during meals by meal preparation, feeding assistance, and ensuring proper nutrition intake while maintaining a clean dining environment Maintain a safe and clean environment through regular cleaning duties, laundry assistance, and adherence to infection control protocols Document resident progress, incidents, and care activities thoroughly in compliance with facility policies and state regulations Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly preferred Knowledge of caregiving practices including assisting with ADLs, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and dementia or Alzheimer's care Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as Hoyer lift training or medication administration are advantageous Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges is a plus Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, residents, families, and healthcare providers Valid driver's license for driving residents when needed; clean driving record preferred Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet resident needs Join us in creating a caring community where compassion meets professionalism!
