Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to individuals in various settings, including long-term care facilities, group homes, and personal care homes. This position requires a strong commitment to resident rights and the ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities Assist residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Perform routine medical tasks such as taking vital signs and administering medications as prescribed. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the facility, adhering to health and safety standards. Support meal preparation and assist residents during mealtime, promoting nutritional needs. Drive residents to appointments or activities as needed, ensuring their safety during transportation. Uphold resident rights by fostering a respectful and dignified environment for all individuals. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans. Lift and assist residents as required while ensuring proper techniques are used for safety. Requirements Previous experience in long-term care or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Knowledge of resident rights and the ability to advocate for clients' needs. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members. Ability to lift patients safely and provide physical assistance when necessary. A valid driver's license is required for transportation responsibilities. Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for all residents. Compassionate attitude towards working with people of varying abilities and backgrounds.
