Caregiver Assistant

• Akron, OH, USA As a caregiver assistant, you will provide in-home care and support for elderly or disabled individuals in Akron, OH and surrounding areas.

Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and medication reminders. You will also provide companionship and social interaction to promote mental and emotional wellbeing. This is a contract position with a salary of $1800 per month.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in caregiving or related field preferred
• Ability to pass a background check
• Strong communication skills
• Compassionate and patient demeanor
• Physical stamina to assist with lifting and transferring clients
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Prepare meals according to dietary restrictions and assist with feeding if necessary
• Administer medication reminders according to prescribed schedule
• Provide companionship and engage in stimulating activities with clients
• Accompany clients on errands or appointments as needed
• Monitor client's physical and mental wellbeing and report any changes or concerns to supervisor
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for the client
• Document services provided in accordance with agency policies
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals

Working Conditions:

This is a contract position requiring availability on weekdays, weekends, evenings, and possibly overnight. The work may be physically demanding at times due to assisting clients with mobility or personal care tasks. You will primarily work in the client's home but may also accompany them outside for errands or appointments.
