Rose Senior Living Avon is recruiting for a hospitality focused Health & Wellness Companion to join our team! Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a
Health & Wellness Companion:
Provides companion services for seniors in the community. Companion services are non-skilled, non-nursing services that do not provide hands-on support. Duties may include the following types of responsibilities: Housekeeping Shopping and errands Meal preparation Laundry, ironing Pet care such as dog walking, litterbox care, and pet supply shopping Transportation and escorts to appointments and social events Companionship and entertainment Home organization and seasonal decorating Move-in and move-out assistance such as packing and unpacking Trash removal Communication and support related to sensory loss (low vision, hearing) Tech support such as setting up, trouble shooting and teaching hardware and software Cleaning and washing detail for golf carts and cars Handyman services such as hanging pictures, furniture assembly, and/or small repairs Other responsibilities as assigned by the IHS Director Observes the client for changes in general physical and mental conditions. Reports any changes noted to the care coordinator or supervisor. Adheres to the documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conduct. Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have: Has excellent observation and communication skills. Has CPR certification or receives CPR certification after hire. Is self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision. Is flexible and cooperative in fulfilling obligations. If providing transportation services, must hold a valid driver's license and automobile insurance. Has the ability to read, follow written instructions, and document services provided. This is an hourly, non-exempt position working Part-time from 9:00am to 1:00pm, Every other weekend, with varied hours based on resident and family :needs.
