Job Description

Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Direct Support Provider, where you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with developmental disabilities to lead fulfilling, independent lives. Duties Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation to promote independence and well-being Support individuals with developmental disabilities and autism by implementing personalized care plans and behavioral management strategies Facilitate social interactions, community outings, and recreational activities to encourage social skills development and community integration Collect data on progress, behaviors, and service delivery to ensure accurate documentation and support planning Administer medications following prescribed protocols while maintaining strict safety standards Use effective communication skills, including American Sign Language when applicable, to foster understanding and connection Drive clients safely to appointments, activities, or community events as needed while maintaining compliance with all driving safety regulations Qualifications Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including developmental disabilities and autism, is highly preferred Knowledge of special education principles and behavioral health practices is advantageous Strong communication skills; ability to adapt to various communication styles including American Sign Language if applicable Experience in home and community care settings demonstrating caregiving excellence Ability to assist with ADLs independently and compassionately Skills in behavior management techniques to support positive behavior change Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for safe transportation responsibilities Background in social work or related fields is a plus; familiarity with data collection methods is beneficial Willingness to undergo training in medication administration and other relevant procedures Join us in creating a supportive environment where individuals thrive! Pay:
$21.83 - $26.29 per hour
