Dementia Caregiver Friends of the Family Home Health Care - 3.1 Maumee, OH Job Details Part-time | Full-time $17 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Elderly patients with dementia Teamwork Driver's License Meal preparation Patient interaction Meal assistance Full Job Description Overview Join our compassionate team as a Dementia Caregiver, where your dedication and expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors living with memory impairments. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care, support clients daily activities, and foster a safe, respectful environment that promotes dignity and independence. Your energy and positive attitude will help create a warm, engaging atmosphere where clients feel valued and cared for every day. This is for a female client who requires 24 hour care. Shifts will be 8am-8pm or 8pm-8am three days a week. Every other weekend is required. Duties Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support. Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure her health stability Medication reminders Implement behavior management strategies tailored to her dementia disabilities to promote calmness and cooperation Help with meals, including feeding assistance Conduct regular safety checks around the her home, including cleaning common areas and the clients bedroom and bathroom to maintain a hygienic environment Engage in social activities and meaningful interactions to enhance her emotional well-being and reduce feelings of isolation Skills Proven experience in senior care settings such as assisted living, nursing homes, or personal care homes with a focus on dementia or memory care Knowledge of Alzheimer's care principles and techniques for working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges Ability to perform first aid procedures confidently and respond effectively in emergency situations Familiarity with EMR systems for accurate documentation of resident care activities Competence in vital signs measurement, medication administration, and use of assistive devices like Hoyer lifts Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals Valid driver's license for transportation needs within community care or home & community care environments Embark on a rewarding career where your caregiving skills directly enhance the quality of life for seniors facing memory challenges. Pay:
