Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a DSP/Caregiver, where your compassion and skills will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized care and support. In this vital role, you will provide assistance with daily living activities, ensure safety and well-being, and foster a warm, respectful environment for residents across various care settings. Duties Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols in compliance with healthcare regulations Support individuals with developmental disabilities strategies to promote safety and comfort Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with feeding when needed Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident areas and common spaces Document care activities and communicate effectively with healthcare teams about resident progress or concerns Requirements Prior experience with individuals with developmental disabilities, or home & community care environments is highly preferred Knowledge of medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and emergency response procedures including First Aid certification Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring specialized support Familiarity behavior management strategies, and social work principles is advantageous Ability to operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts safely and confidently Valid driver's license for transportation duties if required for community outings or appointments Strong interpersonal skills to connect empathetically with residents and collaborate effectively with team members This role is perfect for compassionate individuals eager to provide high-quality personal care while developing their caregiving skills in a supportive environment. $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
