Home Personal Care with (DODD) Trust Care Group Perrysburg, OH Job Details Part-time | Full-time $16 - $18 an hour 21 hours ago Qualifications Caregiving Assisting with ADLs Driver's License Direct support Home health Patient personal care assistance Full Job Description Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Home Personal Care Provider with DODD (Developmental Disabilities Ohio Department). In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism and other disabilities, helping them lead fulfilling lives in their homes and communities. Your energetic and proactive approach will empower clients to achieve their goals, promote independence, and enhance their overall well-being. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day through direct support, caregiving, and community engagement. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort Support behavioral health needs by implementing behavior management strategies and fostering positive interactions Facilitate communication using skills like American Sign Language or other methods tailored to individual needs Collect data on client progress, behaviors, and service delivery to ensure accurate documentation and support planning Administer medications safely following prescribed protocols and document all medication-related activities Drive clients to appointments, community activities, or outings while maintaining safety and adherence to transportation guidelines Collaborate with families, social workers, educators, and healthcare providers to develop and implement personalized care plans Requirements Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism in home or community settings is highly preferred Knowledge of special education principles and behavioral health practices is beneficial Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members Ability to assist with ADLs and provide compassionate caregiving in a respectful manner Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for client outings or appointments Familiarity with data collection methods and documentation procedures in care environments Experience in medication administration, behavior management techniques, or social work is a plus Willingness to learn new skills such as American Sign Language or specialized care techniques This role is perfect for motivated individuals passionate about supporting people with disabilities.
