Job Description
Overview Join our dedicated team as an In-Home Caregiver, providing compassionate and personalized care to a Veteran that lives in Carnegie. This rewarding role allows you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those needing specialized memory or dementia care. We are committed to fostering a supportive environment where your skills and compassion can truly shine. Whether assisting with daily activities or offering emotional support, you will be an essential part of helping clients maintain independence and quality of life right in their own homes. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration following care plans and HIPAA confidentiality standards Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences, ensuring safety and hygiene standards are met Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, noting changes in condition, and reporting findings to healthcare professionals promptly Support clients with cognitive impairments by implementing memory care strategies for dementia or Alzheimer's patients Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations and assist in updating personalized care plans regularly Engage in patient monitoring during home health visits or hospice care scenarios to ensure comfort and safety at all times Transporting clients when needed Qualifications Prior experience working in home & community care settings, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs measurement, and basic nursing skills such as CPR and first aid certification Experience assisting individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or dementia is a strong plus Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate mobility aids like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts when required Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality at all times Excellent communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams Valid driver's license preferred for travel between client locations; reliable transportation required Join us to provide compassionate home care that empowers individuals to live healthier, happier lives.
