Weekend Advocate J127 Ministry Durant, Oklahoma Part time $12.00 - $12.50 per hour pay range Saturday and Sunday 8:00 AM to 10:30 PM One hour unpaid lunch break Mission Statement J127 Ministry exists to offer hope to the vulnerable in the next generation. About J127 Ministry J127 Ministry is a faith based Christian transitional home and resource center serving young women who are working toward stability, healing, personal growth, and long term independence. We provide a safe, structured, supportive home environment through advocacy, life skills, mentorship, accountability, community support, and faith based encouragement. Position Summary J127 Ministry is seeking a mature, dependable, compassionate Weekend Advocate to help maintain a safe, peaceful, clean, and structured residential environment during weekend hours. This is an active, hands on position. The Weekend Advocate supports residents, helps maintain household structure, completes basic documentation, assists with transportation as assigned, and helps keep the home and grounds clean, organized, and welcoming. The right candidate will be emotionally steady, professional, respectful of boundaries, and willing to notice what needs attention without waiting to be asked. Key Responsibilities Support residents with encouragement, accountability, and appropriate guidance Help residents complete chores, meals, laundry, cleaning, organization, homework, resumes, job applications, and daily responsibilities Actively look for household, common area, and outdoor needs during the shift Assist with cleaning, dishes, trash, floors, bathrooms, kitchen areas, laundry areas, porches, walkways, pavilion areas, and general grounds upkeep Help ensure house rules, curfew expectations, and program standards are followed Monitor the home and report concerns to leadership Complete basic documentation as needed Assist with transportation needs when assigned Maintain confidentiality and healthy boundaries with residents, staff, volunteers, and guests Represent the mission, values, and faith based culture of J127 Ministry with integrity Qualifications Mature, dependable, and emotionally steady Able to work independently and remain engaged throughout the shift Willing to take initiative and look for what needs to be done Compassionate, respectful, and professional Comfortable working in a faith based Christian ministry environment Able to follow policies, procedures, and direction from leadership Reliable, punctual, and willing to serve in an active household setting Valid driver's license preferred Background check required Work Environment This position takes place in a residential ministry home. The role requires active engagement, walking, standing, light cleaning, cooking support, household organization, basic grounds upkeep, and interaction with residents throughout the shift. This is not a passive supervisory position. Pay Range $12.00 - $12.50 per hour Schedule Saturday and Sunday 8:00 AM to 10:30 PM One hour unpaid lunch break Employment Status Employment with J127 Ministry is at will. This means either the employee or J127 Ministry may end the employment relationship at any time, with or without notice, and with or without cause, as allowed by law.
