In this vital role, you will provide personalized care and support to promote independence, safety, and well-being. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while making a lasting impact on the communities we serve. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure comfort and dignity. Monitor vital signs and observe behavioral changes to support ongoing health assessments. Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols, including medication management in electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care, utilizing specialized techniques for behavior management. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents experiencing mental health or developmental disabilities. Assist with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met while accommodating dietary restrictions. Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and other mobility aids to promote safety during transfers and repositioning. Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties aligned with personal care home standards. Support residents' social engagement by facilitating activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction. Document care activities accurately in EMR systems and communicate effectively with healthcare teams regarding resident status. Drive residents when necessary for appointments or community outings, ensuring safety at all times. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia management, and memory care techniques. Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges is desirable. Familiarity with vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic first aid procedures is essential. Long-term care experience that includes personal care home or retirement home settings is advantageous. Proficiency in using EMR systems for documentation and communication purposes. Valid driver's license and safe driving record for transportation duties are preferred. Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to social work and direct support roles are necessary to succeed in this position.
