Job Description

Jovie of Edmond is hiring a flexible, enthusiastic, and highly professional Evening & Weekend Caregiver. During the first six weeks, this position ensures mom has critical physical lifting support during dinner and bedtime routines. Long-term, this role transitions into a premium standby position to protect the family's weekend rhythm—supporting mom during busy periods or accompanying the family to local sporting events, weekend outings, and travel.
Key Responsibilities:
Bedtime & Evening Routines:
Managing evening bottle feedings, soothing the infant, handling physical lifting, and establishing a smooth bedtime routine.
Premium Event & Standby Care:
Serving as the consistent, familiar face on weekends. Whether tag-teaming playtime at the house, helping out at events, or traveling on family trips, you are on standby to keep the schedule running seamlessly. A "Can-Do,"
Solutions-First Mindset:
The family operates under the philosophy of looking for "yes" rather than focusing on limitations or strict rules, especially during fast-moving or emergency situations. The caregiver should be proactive, resourceful, and capable of taking direct guidance smoothly.
Creative Task Adaptation:
Because hours are fully guaranteed, if the family is having a quiet evening or the infant is sleeping, the caregiver should be willing to assist with creative administrative, research, or organizational projects for the home.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Dynamic & Highly Adaptable:
Someone who loves a shifting schedule, stays calm under pressure, and is comfortable with an open-ended "plan to show up and see where the day takes us" environment.
Professional Boundaries:
An individual who understands household hierarchy, follows parental decisions implicitly, and maintains excellent situational awareness in public or exclusive settings.
Values & Demeanor:
Supportive of a Christian home environment, polished in appearance, and capable of working harmoniously alongside a family with diverse, balanced personalities (ranging from highly structured and fast-paced to relaxed and introverted).
Travel-Ready:
Eager and available to join the family for travel, summer outings, and local community events. Minimum Requirements (Jovie Agency Standards):
Age Limit:
Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
Work Authorization:
Must show proof of citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States.
Experience & References:
Minimum of 2 years of professional, verifiable childcare, babysitting, or nanny experience. Must be able to provide 2-3 professional, non-family references.
Education:
Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent GED.
Transportation:
Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ownership of a reliable, personally insured vehicle.
Health & Safety:
Certified non-smoker. Must be CPR and First Aid certified (or fully willing to complete the certification training program prior to your first official assignment).
Vetting & Background:
Must pass a mandatory, rigorous national background check conducted by an accredited provider (covering state, county, federal criminal history, and predator databases). Must be willing to comply with agency onboarding requirements, including mandatory orientation sessions.
Job Benefits:
Benefits package for fulltime employees
Job Certifications:
CPR and FA Qualifications:
High School or greater, 2 years infant experience
