Job Description

Wyandotte Nation Government is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Infant Caregiver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a nurturing, clean, and safe environment to help infants develop and reach age-appropriate milestones. The Infant Caregiver will demonstrate good judgment in caring for and engaging with each infant, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met. Primary duties include preparing the building for opening, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment, and attending to the infants' physical needs, including feeding on a regular schedule and diaper changing. Additionally, the Infant Caregiver will maintain accurate records of the infants' daily activities for communication with parents, supervise sleep times, and engage infants in appropriate indoor and outdoor play. Applicants must possess an AA degree in early childhood education (preferred) or a minimum of a high school diploma or GED, with at least two years of experience working with young children. Knowledge of developmental stages and a nurturing approach to supporting infants is essential. A willingness to attend training and meet licensing regulations is required, as well as the ability to work closely with parents in partnership. The employee may frequently be required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, twist and balance, cope with high level of stress, perform simple grasping, and lift up to 75 pounds.
