+ We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Weekend Day-Shift to join our team at Karen's Place ! This energetic role is perfect for individuals who thrive on making a positive difference in the lives of others, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity for those we serve. As a Weekend Day Shift Caregiver, you will play a vital part in promoting independence and well-being through personalized care and attentive assistance to our 5 residents. This position offers an engaging environment where your skills in caregiving, medication management, and activity support will shine. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies to promote safety and engagement Provide compassionate personal care within assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks like cleaning resident areas and common spaces Use Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to document care activities, observations, and incidents accurately Support residents' social engagement by facilitating activities that promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being Operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts safely to assist residents with transfers or repositioning Drive residents when necessary for appointments or outings in compliance with safety standards Skills Proven experience in senior care, assisted living, or long-term care environments with a focus on resident safety and comfort Strong knowledge of ADLs assistance, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and dementia or Alzheimer's care techniques Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation purposes Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members Ability to handle challenging behaviors with patience and professionalism using behavior management strategies Valid driver's license for transportation duties when required Experience with group home settings or personal care homes is a plus Knowledge of infection control procedures, cleaning protocols, and basic first aid practices Join us to make a meaningful impact every weekend!
