Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and highly experienced Caregiver to provide compassionate support and comprehensive care to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home health environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient observation, medication administration, and assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). This role requires a proactive approach to patient care, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for improving the quality of life for those in need. As an Experienced Caregiver, you will play a vital role in ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity for residents and clients. Duties Provide personalized care to residents or clients, including assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility. Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to assess patient health status. Assist with medication administration following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality. Support residents with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's through memory care techniques and patient observation. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary. Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts and other mobility aids safely to prevent injury during transfers. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control protocols are followed. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans that address each resident's unique needs. Document patient progress accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and regulations. Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being among residents or clients. Qualifications Proven experience in caregiving roles within assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings. Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional training in hospice or dementia care is preferred. Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or memory impairments such as Alzheimer's disease. Knowledge of medication administration procedures and vital signs monitoring. Experience operating mobility aids like Hoyer lifts and managing patient transfers safely. Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in condition promptly. Ability to work effectively within care plans while maintaining HIPAA compliance for patient confidentiality. Excellent communication skills coupled with patience, empathy, and cultural sensitivity. Physical capability for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking during shifts.
