Responsibilities and Duties In this role, you will have the opportunity to improve a clients quality of life by assisting with: Companionship activities, such as reading, enjoying music, solving puzzles, and other activities; Personal care support, including bathing, showering, dressing, and/or shaving; Light housekeeping, which may include vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, dishes, amongst other tasks as needed; Transportation to appointments, errands, and/or community outings; Transferring or moving from place to place throughout their home; Dementia and/or Alzheimer's care; Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions and diet preferences; Medication reminders, assistance, and administration, as directed by the Right at Home care team; Range of motion or other healthy movement exercises, as prescribed by their healthcare team. Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you must be: At least 18 years of age; Able to lift up to 50lbs without assistance; Have reliable transportation, Able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Although not required, we have a preference for candidates that: Possess a high school diploma or GED; Have a valid driver's license; Can provide up-to-date proof of vehicle insurance; Hold a CNA/CMA, Home Health Aide, or Personal Care Aide certification.
