Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Caregiver in adult foster care, where your compassionate support and attentive care will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide personalized assistance, promote independence, and enhance quality of life within a nurturing home environment. As a vital member of our caregiving community, you will engage in hands-on support, ensuring safety, comfort, and well-being for residents with varying health conditions and developmental disabilities. Your energy and dedication will help create a warm, respectful atmosphere where residents feel valued and cared for every day. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor residents' health status by observing changes in behavior or physical condition and reporting findings promptly Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA privacy regulations Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and perform heavy lifting safely to support residents' mobility needs Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, including vital signs, medication administration, and incident reports Support residents' emotional well-being through engaging activities, companionship, and respectful communication Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is advantageous Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA compliance are a plus Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and overnight shifts as needed Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing signs of health deterioration or behavioral changes Physical ability to perform tasks involving standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects safely, and assisting with patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and families Join us to provide compassionate adult foster care that transforms lives through dedicated service. $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
