Caregiver

Job description: Job Overview As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate support and assistance to individuals in a memory care and residential care setting. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks aimed at enhancing the quality of life for those under your care. This position requires a dedicated individual who is skilled in patient observation and committed to fostering a safe and nurturing environment. Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Assist with meal preparation and serving nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs. Monitor patients' vital signs and overall health status, reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Support individuals with mobility challenges, including the use of Hoyer lifts when necessary. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the living space to ensure a safe environment. Implement care plans as directed by healthcare providers. Engage in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation for residents with Alzheimer's or dementia care needs. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of residents. Document patient observations accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Skills First aid, AED and CPR certification is required. Experience in home health, hospice care, or long-term care settings is highly desirable. Familiarity with working with individuals with dementia or Alzheimers is beneficial. Strong skills in patient monitoring and observation to identify changes in condition promptly. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the needs of clients. Knowledge of cleaning protocols and maintaining hygiene standards within caregiving environments. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in providing quality care to seniors. Pay:

$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
