POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Care Partner is an unlicensed employee that provides support to Care Partners, assisting with the daily living of the residents of the Community.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Include but are not limited to the following: Provide resident care support to Care Partners. Provide support with mobility and transfers, including using assistive devices. Help residents with eating and drinking, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration. Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents. Respect and uphold residents' dignity, privacy, and independence. Collaborate with other members of the care team to provide comprehensive care and support to residents.
Supervisory Responsibility:
None.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience:
Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in caregiving or healthcare settings preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Exceptional communication skills in English, enabling effective interaction with residents and staff through both verbal and written means. Utilize electronic devices and software provided. Understanding of basic healthcare principles or practices, including first aid, CPR, safety, and infection control. Knowledge of daily care techniques such as bathing, dressing, and feeding residents. Familiarity with common medical terms, medications, and their appropriate use. Understanding of specific needs related to aging, including cognitive and physical changes. Awareness of common health conditions affecting older adults. Ability to provide physical assistance and support to residents with mobility challenges. Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and documenting observations. Capability to remain calm and compassionate in challenging situations. Problem-solving abilities to promptly address concerns or complaints, with the ability to quickly pivot from one task to the next. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships.
