In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care to residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Your energy and enthusiasm will help create a warm, engaging environment where seniors feel valued and supported. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults while developing your skills in elder care and assisted living. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track residents' health status Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies Provide emotional support and companionship to promote social engagement and mental well-being Maintain a clean, safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping and sanitation tasks Use electronic medical record (EMR) systems to document care activities and resident progress Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts safely to prevent injury during transfers Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and family members to coordinate comprehensive care plans Drive residents to appointments or outings when required, ensuring safe transportation Requirements Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings preferred Knowledge of senior care practices including Alzheimer's/dementia/memory care techniques Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general is a plus Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting using Hoyer lifts or assisting with mobility Strong communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and team members Valid driver's license for transportation duties if applicable Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for seniors Join us in creating a caring community where every resident feels respected, safe, and loved.
