Our Assisted Living and Residential Care Community is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dependable Activities Coordinator / Shower Aide to join our team. This unique role combines resident engagement with personal care assistance, helping seniors enjoy fulfilling days while maintaining their dignity, independence, and quality of life. The Activities Coordinator/Shower Aide plays an important role in building relationships with residents, encouraging participation in activities, assisting with personal hygiene needs, and communicating changes in resident condition to the care team. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Resident Activities Plan, organize, and lead engaging activities that promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive wellness. Encourage resident participation while adapting activities to individual interests and abilities. Set up activity spaces and assist with community events and celebrations. Document resident participation and engagement. Shower Aide & Personal Care Assist residents with scheduled showers while maintaining dignity, privacy, and respect. Assist with grooming, dressing, and other hygiene needs as assigned. Escort residents to activities and meals as needed. Observe and report changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to supervisors promptly. General Resident Support Maintain accurate documentation according to company policy. Assist with meal service and resident dining support when needed. Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment through light housekeeping and sanitation duties. Assist with laundry and cleaning schedules as assigned. Attend required staff meetings and training sessions. Perform additional duties assigned by the Executive Director or supervisor. Professional Expectations Be dependable, punctual, and adaptable. Treat residents with kindness, patience, dignity, and respect. Maintain confidentiality of resident and company information. Work cooperatively with coworkers and contribute to a positive team environment. Maintain clean and organized work areas while following Resident Rights and company policies. Physical Requirements Frequent standing and walking. Occasional bending, kneeling, crouching, and lifting. Ability to assist residents with transfers using appropriate equipment and assistance when necessary. Legal Requirements Applicants must successfully pass all required state and company background investigations and meet all employment eligibility requirements. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) One to three months related experience and/or training with working with seniors Basic computer skills/knowledge Valid CPR, First Aid and Food Handlers cards (can be acquired during the hiring process) Pre-Service Universal Caregiver training is required but part of your onboarding and training. Ongoing training is provided by the Executive Director and Oregon Care Partners to ensure the highest level of care and adherence to state regulations. Physical Demands Frequent standing and walking; occasional sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling and working in confined spaces Lift and/or move residents weighing more than 100 pounds with appropriate assistance or equipment Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
