Duties:

• Provide direct care and support to residents in an assisted living facility or nursing home setting.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Prepare and serve meals to residents, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are followed.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident rooms and common areas.
• Monitor and report any changes in residents' physical or mental health to the appropriate medical staff.
• Promote and uphold resident rights, dignity, and independence in all interactions.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive and caring environment.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of assisted living or nursing home regulations and procedures is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks as needed.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and staff members.
• Compassionate and patient nature with a genuine desire to help others.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
