Role:
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and patient individual to join our team as a Casual Support Worker. In this role, you will work with young adults with Autism, Intellectual Disabilities & MH, providing support in navigating social interactions in the community, independent living skills, and building confidence in the workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
Build positive, respectful relationships with participants Support individuals in developing life skills (e.g., communication, organization, daily routines) Assist with community participation such as outings, hobbies, and social activities Provide guidance with goal-setting and personal development Encourage independence while offering appropriate levels of support Maintain clear and accurate records of interactions and progress Follow all safety, confidentiality, and care guidelines
About You:
Genuine interest in working with neurodiverse individuals Strong communication and interpersonal skills Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach Ability to work independently and as part of a team Previous experience in disability support, education, or care (preferred but not required) Relevant qualifications or willingness to undergo training (e.g., support work, psychology, education)
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license Ability to pass required background clearances and screenings (as required by local regulations, will pe paid for by employer) Background check / clearances (as required by local regulations, will pe paid for by employer) First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain, will be paid for by employer)

Flexible working hours to suit your schedule (Program Hours are 8:00am - 3:00pm) Meaningful and rewarding work experience Ongoing training and development opportunities Supportive team environment Work opportunities are offered on a weekly and as-needed basis, with hours varying depending on program needs and staffing requirements. No prior experience is necessary, and training will be provided. As program enrollment and organizational needs grow, there may be opportunities for consistent employment of 35 or more hours per week for dependable team members who demonstrate strong performance and commitment.
