Job Description

Hospice experience isn't required to apply. Reliable transportation is necessary. We're a local hospice managed by a team with over 50 years combined of hospice experience, dedicated to the Pittsburgh region. Please reach out to us with any questions you may have. This position requires reliable transportation, as you'll be traveling in the Pittsburgh region to wherever our patients call home. It could be an assisted living, a skilled nursing facility, or a personal residence. We offer competitive pay, great health benefits, and a 401(k) plan with company match. As a hospice dealing with a sensitive population, our Hospice Aides need to promote quality care and compassionate bedside manner. Responsibilities of the hospice aide include, but are not limited to, the following: Performing personal care needs after given a patient's assignment and attending to his/her requests promptly. If unable to perform a certain task, report to the Case Manager immediately. Meeting safety needs of the patient and using equipment safely and properly. Giving personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed linen as often as assigned. Assisting in dressing and undressing patients as assigned. Planning and preparing nutritious meals, including shopping, as assigned. Assisting in feeding the patient as assigned. Other job duties may be assigned depending on the patient's needs and/or situation. Please inquire within for more information.
