Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Caregiver to provide vital support and supervision for young individuals in need of guidance, stability, and care. In this role, you will create a safe, nurturing environment while fostering positive development and emotional well-being. Your energetic approach will help empower youth to overcome challenges, build resilience, and achieve their full potential. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in young lives through active engagement, crisis intervention, and personalized care. Responsibilities Supervise daily activities of youth, ensuring safety and adherence to program guidelines Provide emotional support and mentorship to help youth navigate personal challenges Conduct crisis intervention when necessary, de-escalating conflicts and managing behavioral issues effectively Assist with childcare duties including meal preparation, hygiene routines, and recreational activities Maintain accurate case management records, including intake documentation, data collection, and progress notes Administer medication following prescribed protocols and document all medication administration details Collaborate with social workers, healthcare providers, and family members to develop individualized care plans Implement behavioral health strategies and behavior management techniques to promote positive conduct Conduct security checks and monitor the environment to ensure a safe setting at all times Facilitate communication between youth and staff, promoting transparency and trust Requirements Proven supervising experience working with children or adolescents in a care or educational setting Strong crisis intervention skills with the ability to manage conflict calmly and effectively Knowledge of child development, behavioral health, addiction counseling, and conflict management techniques Experience in social work or home & community care is highly desirable Ability to perform first aid procedures confidently and respond swiftly during emergencies Excellent communication skills for engaging with youth, families, and team members clearly and empathetically Familiarity with data entry, filing, data collection, and case documentation processes Certification or experience in medication administration is preferred Valid certification in LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs or related housing support experience is a plus Join us as a Youth Caregiver to be a positive influence in young lives while developing your skills in behavioral health, crisis management, and social work.
