Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Provide compassionate care tailored to each individual's care plan, ensuring their comfort and dignity are prioritized at all times Monitor vital signs and observe behavioral changes to inform ongoing care strategies Administer medications accurately following established protocols and maintain detailed documentation within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Support residents with meal preparation, feeding assistance, light housekeeping, and maintaining a clean living environment Engage residents in social activities and therapeutic programs to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being Manage conflict or behavioral challenges through positive behavior management techniques while maintaining safety for all involved Requirements Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and basic patient care practices is essential Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for caregiving duties Valid driver's license for transportation duties; clean driving record preferred Certification in First Aid and CPR required or willingness to obtain upon hire Strong communication skills with an empathetic approach to working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or other cognitive impairments Ability to follow detailed care plans and document care activities accurately within EMR systems Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed Join us in creating a positive impact through dedicated caregiving!
