Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Assistant Caregiver to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various settings, including private homes, assisted living facilities, and community environments. This vital role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence while fostering a warm, respectful relationship. The ideal candidate will be energetic, attentive, and committed to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations for confidentiality Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary Support medication administration following prescribed schedules and care plans under supervision or as trained Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation, especially for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease Assist with transportation to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or community activities while ensuring safety during transit Document care activities thoroughly and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, family members, or social workers involved in the client's care Qualifications Proven experience in home & community care settings, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to recognize signs requiring medical attention Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are preferred Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), dementia (including Alzheimer's disease), or memory care needs Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate mobility aids like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts when necessary Strong communication skills for coordinating with healthcare teams and family members Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve clients' well-being and independence Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, or overnight shifts as needed Join us in delivering compassionate care that transforms lives!
