This role involves assisting with daily activities, ensuring safety, and promoting independence for clients with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized memory or dementia care. The ideal candidate will bring energy, empathy, and a proactive attitude to enhance the quality of life for those they serve. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while working in a dynamic, supportive environment. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA confidentiality standards Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts and perform heavy lifting safely to support mobility and transfers Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities, observations, and progress notes Support clients during outings or community activities to promote social engagement and independence Conduct regular cleaning of living spaces to ensure a safe and hygienic environment Follow established care plans for residents with Alzheimer's, dementia, autism, or other developmental disabilities Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and adherence to safety protocols Qualifications Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly desirable Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are preferred Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's/dementia care, or memory care is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed care instructions accurately Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful, person-centered care Join our team if you're passionate about making a positive impact through dedicated caregiving!
