In Home Caregiver Monarch Care Services - 3.0 Reading, PA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $11.50 - $12.00 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Flexible schedule Referral program Qualifications CPR Certification House cleaning assistance Residential housekeeping First Aid Certification Driving Food preparation Bathing assistance Full Job Description Caregiver duties and responsibilities can include: Assisting with personal care: bathing and grooming, dressing, toileting, and exercise Basic food preparation: preparing meals, shopping, housekeeping, laundry, and other errands General health care: overseeing medication and prescriptions usage, appointment reminders and administering medicine Mobility assistance: help with getting in and out of a wheelchair, car or shower Personal supervision: providing constant companionship and general supervision
Transportation:
driving to and from activities, running errands, and help getting in and out of wheelchair-accessible vehicle Emotional support: being a stable companion and supporter in all matters personal, health-related and emotional Care for the elderly: orienting or grounding someone with Alzheimer's disease or dementia, relaying information from a doctor to family members Back-up care (or respite) services: providing other caregivers a break Home organization: help with organizing, packing or cleaning for a trip, or general house care and cleaning Health monitoring: following a care plan and noticing any changes in the individual's health, recording and reporting any differences Summary As a Caregiver/Personal Assistant, you will be essential in delivering compassionate care and support to individuals in need. Reporting to a designated supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to implement care plans that enhance the well-being of clients. Utilizing your core skills in caregiving, along with premium skills in patient observation, assisted living, and first aid, you will assist with daily activities and ensure a safe environment. Your relevant experience in long-term care and social work will further enrich the quality of care provided, making a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve. Qualifications Proven experience in caregiving and personal assistance Strong knowledge of care plans and patient observation techniques Certification in First Aid and CPR (valuable, but not required). Experience in assisted living and home & community care settings Ability to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) Familiarity with cleaning and maintaining a safe living environment Background in long-term care or social work is a plus
