Job Description

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced, mature female caregiver to assist in the care of an 88-year-old female in Shavertown, PA. The client is in the mid-stage of dementia. The principal responsibilities are companionship, assistance with lunch and nominal hygiene and bathing. Housekeeping duties, including laundry, are expected during idle time and when client is napping. Communicate effectively with family members about any issues or concerns that arise. Shift time is principally 1 PM to 6 PM Monday through Friday while husband is at work. Some flexibility for additional time is needed to accommodate husband's schedule.
Skills and Experience:
Compassionate caregiver with patience, empathy, and a positive attitude. Provide meaningful companionship and emotional support to prevent isolation. Previous experience as a caregiver, home health aide, or in a related field is required. First Aid/CPR certifications are preferred. Ability to act in the event of an emergency. Valid driver's license and clean driving history. Reliable transportation required. Ability to pass comprehensive background checks.
