This position involves developing and implementing individualized care plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering an environment that promotes the well-being and development of clients. The QDDP will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to enhance the quality of life for individuals in a residential setting. Duties Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs. Provide patient care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. Utilize behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors effectively. Assist DSPs with providing daily living activities, promoting independence while ensuring safety. Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of client progress and adjust care plans as necessary. Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to coordinate services and support for clients. Provide training and guidance to staff on best practices for working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Administer first aid as needed and ensure a safe environment for all clients. Qualifications At least one year of documented experience working directly with individuals who have a developmental disability. Experience in patient care or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. A bachelor's degree in a human services field, including sociology, social work, special education, rehabilitation counseling, or psychology. Proficient in word and other software. WAMs experience, Knowledge of behavior management strategies and techniques. Strong skills in assisting clients with daily activities and personal care. Familiarity with developing care plans that meet individual needs. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality of client information. Certification in first aid is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
