Job Overview Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Aide, where your dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities and personal well-being. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care, assist with essential tasks, and foster a safe, respectful environment for residents across various care settings. Your energy and empathy will help promote independence, dignity, and quality of life for those you serve. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using manual handling techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts. Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, noting changes in condition, and reporting findings to nursing staff or supervisors promptly. Follow HIPAA guidelines and care plans established by healthcare professionals. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist residents during meal times to promote proper nutrition. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties, laundry services, and ensuring infection control protocols are followed. Observe residents' behaviors and communicate any concerns related to dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder, or other developmental disabilities to the care team. Support residents' emotional well-being through active engagement, companionship, and participation in social activities within the community or home setting. Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred. Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks while maintaining proper body mechanics. Strong communication skills with the ability to follow detailed care plans and document observations accurately.
