Job Description

Support Worker 174 Basildon Street, Lancaster, SC 29720 $21.42 - $25.80 an hour - Part-time, Full-time $21.42 - $25.80 an hour - Part-time, Full-time Key Responsibilities Provide day‑to‑day care to children and young people in line with their care plans. Support with daily routines , including waking, meals, school preparation, and bedtime. Build trusting, professional relationships that promote emotional stability and resilience. Encourage positive behaviour , using de‑escalation and supportive communication. Support children with education , homework, activities, and community engagement. Assist with life‑skills development such as cooking, budgeting, and personal organisation. Maintain a safe, nurturing environment following safeguarding and health & safety standards. Participate in key-working sessions , goal setting, and progress reviews. Support with contact arrangements between children and their families where appropriate. Administer or prompt medication according to training and policy. Complete accurate daily records , incident reports, and handover notes. Work collaboratively with social workers, schools, therapists, and external professionals . Follow all Ofsted regulations , company policies, and safeguarding procedures. Participate in training, supervision, and team meetings to maintain high standards of care. Contribute to a positive team culture , supporting colleagues and promoting best practice
