Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support for an individual in their home setting 25-30 hours a week. This role involves assisting individual with daily activities, promoting their independence, and ensuring their comfort and safety in their home . The ideal candidate will need to be able to pass a background check and drug test. The schedule that we are looking to fill are Monday through Thursday 8:30am till 1:30pm and Friday 8:30am till 12:30pm with occasional longer hours on client appointment days. Occasionally there maybe a team member who calls out for a shift, so if you are available, it will be up for grabs. This could be a weekend morning shift or evening shift. We will train you for morning and evening shifts. The morning shifts pay will be $16/hr. This truly is a great family to work for, and if you are interested, please reach out for more information. Responsibilities Assist individual with personal hygiene tasks. Support individual in daily living activities, including meal preparation. Help lift and transfer individual safely using appropriate techniques and equipment. Monitor vital signs as needed and report any significant changes to family. Provide companionship and engage individual in social activities to enhance their quality of life. Administer medication. Document care provided and any observations related to the individual's health or behavior. Colostomy and catheter bag care (will train ideal candidate) Skills Experience in personal care home, group home, or senior care settings is preferred. Knowledge of medication administration protocols and vital sign monitoring. Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with individual and their family. Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others lead fulfilling lives. Colostomy bag and catheter bag care experience a plus.
