Job Description

Overview Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Aide, where your dedication and caring nature will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals needing support with daily activities and personal well-being. This vital role offers an opportunity to provide respectful, attentive care in a variety of settings, including assisted living facilities, group homes, and private residences. Your efforts will promote independence, safety, and comfort for those you serve, fostering a warm and supportive environment every day. Duties Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure their comfort and dignity. Support patients with mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts, ensuring safe and effective transfers. Monitor patient health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; report any concerns to healthcare professionals promptly. Prepare nutritious meals according to care plans and assist with feeding when necessary, ensuring dietary needs are met. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning patient areas, laundry, and sanitizing shared spaces. Observe and document changes in patient condition or behavior; communicate effectively with team members to update care plans. Administer medications following HIPAA guidelines and care protocols under supervision or as trained. Skills Proven experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes with a focus on senior or disability care. Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs accurately. Familiarity with specialized dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice support, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts; physically capable of supporting residents' mobility needs. Strong communication skills for working collaboratively with healthcare teams and providing compassionate support to residents. Basic first aid certification and CPR training to respond effectively in emergencies. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information. Experience in medication administration and creating or following detailed care plans. Pay:
$10.00 - $12.00 per hour
