This vital role offers an opportunity to provide respectful, attentive, and personalized care to seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those recovering from illness or surgery. You will work in various settings including private homes, assisted living facilities, group homes, or nursing homes, ensuring each person receives the highest quality of care and companionship. Your dedication will help promote independence, safety, and well-being for those in your care. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA confidentiality standards Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry Document care activities accurately and communicate any concerns or changes to supervisors or healthcare professionals Skills Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes with a focus on senior or disability care Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to recognize signs of medical emergencies or deterioration Certification in CPR and First Aid to ensure immediate response during emergencies Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to protect client privacy and confidentiality Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia (including Alzheimer's disease), or memory care needs Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate supportive equipment like Hoyer lifts or gait belts Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams This role is ideal for caring professionals committed to providing empathetic support while maintaining safety standards.
