Job Description

Job Summary We here at Home Instead are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. This vital role involves delivering personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. As an In Home Caregiver, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the quality of life for those you serve by offering attentive, respectful, and professional care tailored to each person's unique needs. This position is ideal for motivated individuals who thrive on making a positive difference in people's lives through compassionate caregiving. Pay is anywhere from $16.50-$19.00, depending on experience. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and observe patients' health status, including vital signs and overall condition, and report changes promptly Medication Reminders according to care plans while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet dietary requirements and preferences Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to ensure safe transfers and mobility support Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, laundry, and organization of the living space Document care activities, patient observations, and any incidents meticulously to ensure continuity of care Experience Prior experience working in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of patient care techniques including CPR, first aid, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, dementia (including Alzheimer's), or memory care needs Familiarity with creating and following personalized care plans tailored to individual requirements Hands-on experience with hospice or end-of-life care is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for resident transfers or mobility assistance Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times Join us with Home Instead in making a meaningful impact by providing compassionate home-based care that empowers individuals to live healthier, happier lives.
