Job Description
Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregiver to provide comprehensive in-home care for clients with diverse needs. This role involves supporting individuals with daily activities, health monitoring, and emotional well-being in a residential setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, disability support, or healthcare environments, and possess a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those they serve. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature Administer medications accurately following prescribed care plans and HIPAA regulations Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Support clients with memory care needs related to Alzheimer's or dementia through specialized techniques Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and manage safe transfers for residents with mobility challenges Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment Observe and report any changes in health status or behavior to healthcare professionals or family members Follow all safety protocols including CPR and First Aid procedures to ensure resident safety at all times Requirements Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing home, or hospice care preferred Knowledge of patient observation, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring required Certifications such as CPR and First Aid are highly desirable Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or memory impairments is a plus Ability to lift heavy loads safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful and personalized care Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality Flexibility to work in a live-in setting with the ability to adapt to residents' changing needs This role is vital in delivering high-quality long-term care tailored to each resident's unique requirements.
