Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver for the Elderly to provide exceptional support and assistance to seniors in various care settings. In this vital role, you will help improve the quality of life for our residents by delivering personalized care, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence. Your energy, empathy, and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote comfort and dignity. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents' health status is maintained. Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols, maintaining detailed documentation in electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Provide specialized care for residents with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other memory-related conditions through tailored memory care strategies. Support residents during meal preparation, feeding assistance, and ensuring proper nutrition while respecting individual dietary needs. Engage residents in social activities and recreational programs to foster mental stimulation and emotional well-being. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and assisting with laundry. Utilize equipment like Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to safely transfer residents with mobility challenges. Document care activities accurately and communicate effectively with team members regarding residents' progress or concerns. Follow all safety protocols including first aid procedures and emergency response plans to ensure resident safety at all times. Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia management, and memory care techniques is essential. Certification or training in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing education in caregiving best practices is a plus. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring personal support is advantageous. Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation purposes is desirable. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in fast-paced settings such as retirement homes or group homes. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare professionals. Valid driver's license may be required for driving responsibilities related to community outings or appointments. Pay:
$14.00 - $15.00 per hour
