Job Description

Job Summary Join our compassionate team as a Resident Care Aide, where your dedication and caregiving skills will make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care, support daily living activities, and promote a safe, comfortable environment for residents. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to ensure health stability Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care, using specialized techniques to promote safety and comfort Administer medications following prescribed protocols and document all medication activities accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Engage residents in social activities, recreational programs, and group outings to enhance their quality of life Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks like cleaning resident areas and ensuring infection control standards are met Utilize manual handling equipment such as Hoyer lifts to safely assist with transfers and mobility needs Respond promptly to emergency situations with first aid or CPR when necessary, adhering to safety procedures at all times Skills Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments with a focus on geriatrics or senior care Strong knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and behavior management strategies Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring personal support Competence in medication administration, vital signs measurement, and basic health monitoring techniques Excellent caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and strong communication abilities Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation; experience with home & community care is a plus Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, driving residents when needed, and working on your feet for extended periods This role is perfect for compassionate caregivers eager to provide exceptional support while advancing their skills in a dynamic environment.
