This flexible role offers the opportunity to provide personalized assistance in various settings, including assisted living facilities, group homes, nursing homes, and community-based environments. As a PRN DSP, you will empower residents to achieve their highest level of independence while fostering a safe, respectful, and engaging atmosphere. Your energy and commitment will help create a positive impact every day! Responsibilities Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication-related activities within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents' health stability. Support residents with memory care needs by implementing personalized care plans for dementia or Alzheimer's disease, ensuring safety and comfort. Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary guidelines and assist with feeding when needed to promote proper nutrition. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and ensuring infection control standards are met. Engage residents through social activities, behavioral management strategies, and meaningful interactions to enhance their quality of life. Drive residents to appointments or community outings using company vehicles while adhering to safety protocols. Document care activities thoroughly and accurately in EMR systems for seamless communication among team members. Experience Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in senior care settings such as assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care is highly preferred. Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia management, and memory care techniques is advantageous. Experience with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and long-term care procedures is essential. Familiarity with group home environments or personal care homes enhances your ability to support diverse resident needs effectively. Certification in first aid and CPR is desirable; ongoing training in behavior management or social work is a plus. Proven ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team demonstrates your adaptability and commitment to quality care.
