This vital role involves providing personalized care in clients' homes, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. As an In Home Caregiver, you will be a trusted companion and caregiver, helping clients maintain independence while receiving the assistance they need to thrive. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will foster a positive environment that promotes dignity and quality of life for those you serve. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by checking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences Administer medications safely following care plans and HIPAA confidentiality standards Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to ensure safe transfers and mobility support Maintain a clean, safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks and ensuring infection control protocols are followed Document all care activities thoroughly and update care plans regularly to reflect changing needs Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being, especially for clients with dementia or memory care needs Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and social workers to deliver comprehensive care Support clients in community activities or outings to foster social engagement and independence Qualifications Proven experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly desirable Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or hospice care are a plus Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer's disease, or dementia is preferred Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach toward clients of all ages and backgrounds Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required for community outings or client visits Join us in delivering exceptional home care that empowers individuals to live comfortably and confidently.
