At Assisting Hands, we assist and support the Elderly in our community by providing assistance with personal care, meal preparation, medication reminders, as well as light housekeeping, errands, and transportation. One of the most important aspects we feel is companionship, as our clients think of their caregivers as friends. We are proud to be Medicaid and Veterans Administration approved providers, which has given us a variety of clients for our caregivers, bringing great experience opportunities.

Role Overview:

As a Dedicated Caregiver at Assisting Hands Home Care, you will be responsible for providing personalized, non-medical in-home support services to our clients. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with our team to promote the quality of life, dignity, and independence of seniors and those in need. Whether you work full-time or part-time, you'll have the flexibility to make a difference in your community.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide assistance with personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Prepare meals and assist clients with meal planning and nutrition. Remind clients to take medication as prescribed. Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment. Provide companionship and engage clients in activities to promote social interaction. Assist with errands and transportation to appointments or social activities.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills. Compassionate and patient demeanor, with a commitment to providing quality care. Strong communication skills, with proficiency in English. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Flexible availability to work various shifts, including weekends. Prior experience in caregiving or related fields is a plus.

Bonus If You:

Have certifications in CPR or First Aid. Possess additional language skills to communicate with diverse clients. Have experience with seniors or the elderly population.

Employment Type & Availability:

This position is available as both Full-Time and Part-Time, with availability required on all days of the week.

Location:

This position is onsite only in Shelbyville, Tennessee.
