Personal Care Assistant for

Senior Helpers Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated non-medical personal care assistant who loves working with clients to provide exceptional care and support. As a personal care assistant, you will be responsible for assisting individuals with daily living activities, medication reminders, running errands, accompanying them to doctor appointments, and providing personal assistance as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. Reminding clients to take their medications as prescribed. Running errands, including grocery shopping and picking up prescriptions. Accompanying clients to medical appointments and providing transportation. Offering companionship and emotional support to clients. Maintaining a safe and clean environment for the client. Documenting care activities and any changes in the client's condition. Communicating with the client's family and healthcare professionals as needed.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a personal care assistant or similar role is preferred but not required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Compassion and empathy for clients' well-being. Reliable and responsible with a strong work ethic. Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle with valid insurance.

Our clients are seniors that live independently in their own homes, and this is a one-on-one position. Are you comfortable providing companion care and some personal care for a senior in their home? Do you have experience with light housekeeping, changing bed sheets, laundry, taking out garbage, and light cooking? Do you have experience preparing meals and have basic cooking skills? How many hours would you like to work per week? Do you have experience providing personal care for clients? Personal care can include bathing assistance, oral hygiene, toileting, dressing, etc?
