Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including home, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for residents through attentive, respectful, and personalized care. This role involves working closely with individuals who may have developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's, or other health challenges, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs and patient observations to ensure health status is maintained or improved Administer medications following prescribed care plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care strategies Operate patient lifting equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely to prevent injury during transfers Conduct light housekeeping tasks including cleaning resident areas to maintain a safe environment Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being Follow all safety protocols including CPR and First Aid procedures in emergency situations Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards Requirements Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice care preferred Knowledge of patient monitoring, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and HIPAA compliance Certifications such as CPR and First Aid are highly desirable Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or Alzheimer's is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting when required and assist with mobility using appropriate equipment like Hoyer lifts Strong communication skills and patience when working with diverse populations including seniors and individuals with disabilities Valid driver's license may be preferred for certain roles involving community or home visits Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve residents' quality of life This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need while working within a supportive team environment.
Pay:
$12.00 - $13.00 per hour
