As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily living activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their well-being. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, empathy, and the ability to work effectively with individuals of varying needs, including those with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's, or dementia. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients. Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client conditions. Prepare meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary restrictions. Administer medication as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry. Assist clients in mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in community events. Provide support for individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities through direct support techniques. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Requirements Previous experience in caregiving, home health, or assisted living environments is preferred. Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality. Experience working with individuals with Alzheimer's or dementia is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for patient mobility assistance. Strong observational skills for monitoring patient conditions and reporting changes effectively. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with clients, families, and team members. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
