Full Job Description Responsibilities:
- Provide care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, or other cognitive impairments
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications and monitor health conditions as needed
- Implement care plans and ensure the safety and well-being of clients
- Engage in meaningful activities and provide companionship to promote social interaction and mental stimulation
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients
- Assitance with transportation for appointments, errands, or recreational activities
Requirements:
- Experience in providing care for individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, or cognitive impairments is preferred
- Knowledge of home care practices and techniques
- Familiarity with memory care principles and strategies
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing situations
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Compassionate and patient nature to provide emotional support to clients
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screening
