Job Description

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated caregiver for our client in Grapevine. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, memory care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalized care, safe mobility, and meaningful human connection.
Duties Activities of Daily Living:
Assist clients with bathing (including shower monitoring and shampooing), dressing, and detailed grooming (teeth brushing, nail care, and using trimmers).
Mental & Social Engagement:
Actively stimulate the resident's cognitive health through:
Reading Aloud:
Regularly read the Bible and the News to the resident to provide spiritual comfort and keep him informed of current events.
Verbal Interaction:
Engage in consistent, "plain talking" conversation to stimulate brain activity and prevent daytime lethargy.
Shared Activities:
Facilitate watching TV and other indoor activities to ensure the resident remains alert and engaged with his environment.
Mobility & Safety:
Assist with safe transfers and ambulation using walkers and wheelchairs. Proficiency with safety equipment, such as gait belts , is required.
Continence & Toileting:
Provide dignified assistance with toileting, commode use, and the changing of adult undergarments while maintaining skin integrity.
Nutritional Support:
Assist with meal preparation and eating, including specialized tasks like buttering bread and cutting food.
Health Monitoring:
Recognize "changes in condition" and report promptly to management. Adherence to
Care Plans:
Administer medication reminders and ensure strict adherence to individualized Plans of Care (POC).
Documentation:
Maintain accurate, professional records of care provided.
Qualifications Experience:
Previous experience in senior care or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
Skills:
Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and medication reminders is essential.
Communication:
Excellent verbal communication skills are required for reading aloud and engaging in meaningful conversation.
Demeanor:
A compassionate, patient demeanor with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for seniors.
Physical Ability:
Must have the physical stamina to perform lifting and assist with mobility challenges.
Certification:
